With the release of Adobe Illustrator 24.3 at the end of August 2020 Adobe released a new feature titled Snap to Glyph This feature "lets you snap your artwork components precisely with the text, without the need to create outlines or reference guides" as described directly by Adobe. The Snap to Glyph > Angular Guides option lets you snap objects set at a particular angle with the glyph while you move, scale, or rotate them and draw them using the Pen tool
Snap and draw objects precisely around the boundary of the live glyph. Anyway, I'm curious if anyone has figured out a point in having both Align to Point Text and Align to Area Text toggled on at the same time? It just seems like the Align to Area Text functionality overides the Align to Point Text.
